The scorecard for D.willistoni and its ceBLAT alignment are shown
below, where the data presented in the scorecard corresponds to that
of a ceBLAT alignment spanning 3,570 bp 5' to the fushi tarazu gene.
The scorecard broken down into three parts that include the Score,
the Start/End of alignment in the input DNA, sequencing gaps and the
R/D value. First, the Score reflects the number of bases in the
input DNA that align with the test species. Next, Start/End
represent the first and last aligning bases in the reference input
DNA. Finally, the R/D value provides data for detecting possible
rearrangements and/or duplications, where the two numbers shown
indicate the bases unique to the either the second or third
alignment and the second number indicates those bases that are
shared with a higher scoring alignment. In this case, the Score for
the second alignment - 307 - matches the number of unique bases
found indicating that this alignment has identified a rearrangement
in D.willistoni that does not overlap with the first alignment. The
thrid alignment also identifies another rearrangement.
